Mini Implants
Are your dentures loose and constantly shifting around? Are you tired of having to hold them in place? Do you wish you could eat what you want when you want? Mini implants could be the answer!
Mini dental implants are used to hold dentures in place by attaching the lower denture to the heads of titanium screws that are implanted in the jaw. Sounds complicated, right? Well, it’s not. In fact, the treatment is non-surgical and lasts little more than an hour from start to finish. There is no extensive recovery time. Many patients aren’t even prescribed a narcotic, taking only ibuprofen for the first 48 hours to dull any discomfort. There is no extensive recovery time as no incisions are made. Most patients are even able to go home and resume all activities, like eating, right away!
Maybe you’ve been told you aren’t a candidate for implants because you have experienced too much bone loss. That’s okay. Mini implants require less bone due to their small size, so those individuals who aren’t eligible for regular implants may, in fact, be qualified for mini implants. We have placed implants in patients who have recently had their teeth pulled, as well as patients who have lost nearly all of their lower jaw bone.
Call our office today to set up a free consultation to find out if you are eligible for mini implants. We’ll be happy to answer any other questions you may have, as well. We’re waiting to hear from you! (229)-242-5511
